The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that you need to remove the sears. I think they will be retained by the most aft pin of the two pins. Then the frame can come forward and up out of the stock.

If you haven't done so already, pull the trigger guard, then these three screws near the front and mid area of the triggerplate, then the one in tang that was under the triggerguard. I believe some models will also have a screw under the toplever to remove as well. The triggerplate should then come off.

Then the sears will likely need to be removed by taking out the pin that runs across the frame.
