I can read Trade Mark, but can't read the rest of the sign. Any familiar with this mark? It's Defourny-Sevrin' incredible sle 12g with 101% engraved very tight floral pattern. But all proof marks are from London including the final View inspectors mark.

Spanish BP or NP proof are crossed guns, not cannons! It's English trade mark I believe and I saw it before, but my sclerosis makes me sick

That the Defourny trade mark, or one he used for a time.
Odd that it is in English, but the other examples that I have seen have all been like that.

That is one beautiful sidelock! I love the dense floral and scroll engraving. I agree that the Crossed Cannons mark is a either a trade mark of Defourny or possibly that of a barrel maker he employed as I've seen it on another similar sidelock but belgian proofed and all writing in french. Nice piece.

Geno, Send it to me and I'll examine it for a while, maybe thru the fall hunting season and I'll let you know what I think. The only way for me to really tell what the crossed cannons are is to hunt with it for a while.

If Chuck can't figure it out I'll take it thru the winter season. I'd like to check the engraving up close to see if it is really 101%. WOW! is that a beautiful gun.

Don't listen to those two above me Geno they're trying to trick you!!!  All they want is for you to send them your beautiful Defourny so they can go out and hunt with it!!!
