Yeti,
You did very well with the shape and alignment of the top and bottom contour lines you chose for the cheeks, that makes or breaks a stocks appearance.
Flows near perfect with the action lines!
Best, Mark

Making the template was the key to getting good lines. I slowly sanded the template into a shape that worked, knowing I had to elongate the panel more than the original. The Miroku SP copies are taller than the already tall framed Superposed, so the cheek can easily look chunky and squat like these early 70's Mirokus.

I had my eye on a Merkel that needed new wood but it was a 12 bore.If I shot 12 bore that would have been a great project. I have been looking and looking but just havn't found the one. I Guess I'll just keep on looking for the time being.

POD, how did you dig up an archived thread from 2007? I have no idea how to accomplish that!

Check the dates of the posts. Some of the posters haven't posted since "right now". Severe time warp there. You did search for this subject, didn't you, Dave? Da-ave, Da-ave?

By the way, whatever happened to Lowell? He hasn't posted for a long time; or maybe I shouldn't mention it.

The Laird of Glenthorne Manor was the most noticable to me, Jim. But aside form absent faces and Auld Lang Syne, I couldn't believe it when POD put me on to the fact that there are 722+ pages of archived threads here AND they go back to '06. I had resigned myself to the non-operable search function and then about the time Dave fixed the server this last time, I noticed posts tacked on at the bottom of old threads. This is the most extreme example I've seen and I wanted POD to tell me how he searched successfully and I didn't. As to LG, maybe he found his wildcat .25-20?
