I know this topic has come up in the past and I had a few leads to follow up on, none of which came to a positive conclusion, so I will ask again. Have any of you had a good experience having vintage German scopes serviced? And if so, by who? I need a WWI Skopar refurbished to as close to new as possible. Thanks. Steve

Steve, I have, some years ago, used Gil Parsons for restorations, always very satisfied. Don't have any contact info, beleive he is somewhere in Ohio.

I highly recommend this guy, John Knudsen in Idaho. I have no idea if he will mess with a german scope or not but I like what he did for a friends Lyman STS and he was a super friendly guy - easy to reach and talk to.
You can reach him at knudsen@ctcweb.net
