I think I owned a gun with these for about 3 days. Why the short stint with that one? Any issues with the chokes? I have used my BSS 20 with steel shot. Chokes had been opened a bit to LM/IM before I bought it. Great little gun. It was a 3200 Rem with steel shot Briley chokes. I bought it to sell. As for BSS guns, I currently have 4. One 12g that was my first sxs and 3 20g.

The chokes on my 12-g BSS were opened to 10 and 15 thou and I see no damage caused by shooting Kent Fasteel #4s.

My 12ga. 3 inch BSS has MOD. right and FULL left, 30 inches. The left is about to be opened to MOD. It does not have a barrel selector, so there is no advantage in my having two separate chokes in a sporting clays and duck gun. It will then be fed WW Expert steel in BOTH barrels during duck season.

For what it may be worth, my 'designated steel shot' gun is a Miroku (Charles Daly) 12ga with opened IC & Mod. chokes and 2 3/4" chambers and 28" barrels. Pretty similar to he BSS. No problems so far...Geo

Had both chokes in my BSS opened up to LMOD. No barrel selector so I just concentrate on putting the pellets where they need to be. LMOD always works for me. Lots of steel and heavy shot ran thru it, and not a mark. JW

I have several of them and have always been a sucker for the one's with 30" barrels. 2 have been to briley for tubes and there shooters. It's to bad they didn't make any with a vent rib. There beefy like a 21 but there ejectors just don't have that crisp ping when they crack open as the 21's do.

... beefy like a 21 but there ejectors just don't have that crisp ping when they crack open as the 21's do. But then, I've never had a failure on an ejector on a BSS and they kick the shell out reliably. What else is there?
