What do we know about 410 bore sizes?
I just acquired a K-20 barrel set in 410.
Barrels marked 10.2 mm which converts to .40157.
They do indeed measure .401 and .400.
The choke constrictions (Krieghoff screw-in) based on .400 bore seem reasonable, so this boring is intentional.
Is this common or is it just a Krieghoff thing?
Any clue why they underbore a 410 target gun?

Jonesy, I measured some of mine and they run from around .410 to .417

Interesting.
Thanks for taking the time to measure and post.
From Daryl's chart, it appears 10.2mm is right at the minimum for the country of manufacture.
My only guess is that they are going for maximum barrel wall thickness and weight attempting to match the dynamics of the 20ga barrels.
I have yet to weigh the barrel sets.
It shoots great and is loads of fun... no 25's yet, but close a couple times. Very much a work in progress and something of a challenge...

I too am getting into more subgauge shooting and had purchased a K20 28 gauge. Is there a reason why Krieghoff underbores their 28 and .410 gauges? What kind of patterns did you get from your K20 .410?

I've not patterned it, due simply to inertia and perhaps fear of what I find out ruining my confidence in it.
Since I started this thread, I've shot 3 25's with it using the factory '0' chokes.
The pattern must be adequate.

Dunno.
I can tell you the 410/K20 is a delight to shoot. Mine is 30" mostly because the 20ga barrels are 30" and it came with a 30" two barrel case. I've shot the 32" and it's a tossup. Either is fine.
Sources indicate the 410 responds well to forcing cone polishing to bring in flyers, or at least 410 tubes do. I've not tried it myself.
I have noticed that jazzing up the muzzle velocity a bit makes for deader clays. I use #9 at about 1330 fps.
Addicting gauge.

I just measured the .410 barrels in my K32 4-barrel set: Bottom barrel .407 bore and top .409. Back in the 80's I shot several 100x100 with this gun, so I think barrels are pretty good. I measured a Browning super I own....both barrels .407 bore. Take care, Buzz
