From Daryl's chart, it appears 10.2mm is right at the minimum for the country of manufacture.

My only guess is that they are going for maximum barrel wall thickness and weight attempting to match the dynamics of the 20ga barrels.

I have yet to weigh the barrel sets.

It shoots great and is loads of fun... no 25's yet, but close a couple times. Very much a work in progress and something of a challenge...
