Drew, that's interesting. I have never seen that catalog cover. I do have a lithograph that is similar with two dogs and a hunter with a red hat. Do you know anything about the catalog interior. ?

No Daryl I'm sorry. When this good idea that sorta got out of hand started I wasn't careful to record sources frown

I am sorry, but the first time I saw that picture was in this very thread. Only an opinion, the style of the hunters clothes and the style of the Baker advertising, for some reason has me thinking this ad would be for a Folsom Baker. Only a guess though.

Dave,
Are you looking for something from around 1910 to match your SBT?
I have numerouse letterheads, but they are mostly before that time period. The Letterheads from circa 1910 aren't that artistic, most are just a typed name with no art work.

I was thinking if nothing else, the Batavia, NY. Bakers. I could and would use the same layout in the cases for my Paragon, A's and B's as well. But, I have not seen an after, 1910 letter head either. If not too hard, I would love to see what it looks like. Oh, the SBT should arrive tomorrow at the shop, to get brought back to the way it should be. Thanks for looking and show if you can what you have.

Here is a Baker 'label" that I made years ago for a gun case.
Used the cut/paste method - don't remember the sources.

Old Starfire, you did a nice job on the Label. But, one might notice the 1885 Date. The Company was not formed at that time. Originally it was Syracuse Forging Co . [ca. 1886], then Syracuse Forging and Gun Co., Syracuse, NY [ca. 1887-1889], then Syracuse Forging and Gun Co., Batavia , NY [ca 1890-91], then Baker Gun and Forging Co. [ca 1891 to the end in 1919] I may be off a year or so , here and there, as I am typing this from memory, but it's close.

That factory illustration was in the November 1904 'Baker Gun Quarterly'

Researcher sent me that issue, and I have the image scanned at 600 if someone wants a copy revdoc2@cox.net

Not to quibble, but I checked the label, and the tiny script just below the picture/drawing (not put there by me!) states "established 1885". That's what I went with.
