I would not say any of the guns shown here are overstocked,they all look beautiful. I have seen a LC Field grade that had faded case and worn blue with a new high figure stock and to me it looked out of place.
I have a Fox XE that has rather plain wood on it, gun is out now for a restoration. I think the wood is going to be appropriate for the gun when everything is finished as the XE's engraving is kind of over the top,the plain wood will balance out the engraving. That is unless Chuck wants to give me that blank for it
