Mine's a Sav. M24 .22mag over 20ga., I have a small 4x on top, i can put them into 1" @50 iwthout trying hard.

Now I'm looking for an old S&W M48, the magnum version of the K-22.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

I have 3, a Mossberg K. a Win 9422, and a Garcia Bronco, ....all are good shooters although the Garcia was the best deal, $23.95 in 1971 !!

I have been shooting a Ruger 77-.22M for over 15 years. I replaced the trigger spring and stoned the trigger surfaces before I ever fired the gun new. It will consistently shoot one ragged hole three shot groups with Super-X hollow points at 50 yards. It has killed gators, rabbits, coyotes, armadillos, and untold crows. The .22 magnum, IMO, is literally a giant slayer, and kills way out of proportion to it's size.

I would take long hard look at vintage S&W revolvers in this caliber. I'm picking up late 50s vintage S&W in .22lr. The cost for one in top shape is about same as CZ452 and it's much more portable package.
If I wanted rifle in that caliber my pick would be CZ452.

S&W M 48 (the .22 WMR version of the K-22) were introduced in 1959 or so. Good examples with an extra .22LR cylinder and currently going for upwards of $800.
