In the first workshop picture I can add to the tools so far commented on, a Drill Press, a small lathe and what appears to be a very large dia grindstone.
Other items are a Pot Belly Stove, definately a gunshop judging by the 15 or so rifles in racks on the far wall either side of the targets.
Notably abscent in the first workshop picture is artificial lighting, plenty of windows but nothing else in the way of illumintion is apparent. Only in the later pictures are electric lights to be seen.
The large chimney on the smaller extension suggests the belt drive machinery was possibly steam powered.
