That's what I mean Dogon and I agree no comments on the for sale section, that would be great. I am sure that there is somebody out there in need of a forend for a 21 and I will post it if I don't need a "flack" jacket. Thanks again for all the help.

Some comments on the for sale section may help both the seller and potential buyers. For example, the seller may have forgotten to list the chokes, barrel length, dimensions, or even the price. A reminder may help buyers decide whether they're interested. Sure, you could pm him, but if you ask him on the board, he'll respond on the board. Everyone gets the additional info.

Larry,
It's a warm fuzzy feeling that the comments would be confined to questions like you mentioned.

Unfortunately though some the comments that have actually been posted in the for-sale section can be quite rude and un-called for.

It's one thing to ask for specific's or to get contact information due to the PM's being problematic here. But it's a whole different thing when someone takes it upon themselves to tear down someones gun and point out every possible flaw on it and then point out how overpriced they feel the gun is.

I'll still stand by my initial comment. I have a few nice Parkers that I'm concidering selling. Normally I would offer them here in the for-sale section. But due to the rude un-ethical behavior displayed by some here, I'm very hesitant to list them.

It's unfortunate that because of the comments being allowed in the for-sale section. The members here are now affraid to list something for fear of being ripped & shreadded when all they wanted to do was offer a gun for sale to like minded people.

What a Shame!!!!

Larry I am going to have agree with dogon, it's too bad that some on this board have very little or no respect for others.

I am at that same point very hesitant to list anything for sale becasuse someone will say it's a piece of junk or the price on the item is too low am I going to pay Dave his $10....And we all know in the last few months both of those comments have been said.! I am going to post the forend but I will try a different tact. Eric

You all know who I am and I will say that I will post my stuff for sale on Dave's site regardless of who trashes it. The people who comment negatively on the "for sale" section are well known by the readers and those comments are not taken seriously. However, a for sale ad without pictures is not taken very seriously in this age of computer literacy so no pictures usually means "no sale".

It's unfortunate that people make negative comments about guns on the for sale board. I've occasionally made positive comments, and I'm still awaiting my commission from successful sellers. smile But seriously, I agree with eightbore. There are a very few individuals who feel compelled to do that, and I think any potential buyers probably disregard the comments, keeping in mind the old "consider the source" saying.

Bill you are right and I did post it and I have a couple of people interested in it. I tried to walk inbetween what has been said here, no comments but people that were interested in it and why would I take up Dave's bandwidth or whatever you call it to post pics of a forend, I'll email them to who is interested, if it was a beautiful gun like that Dickinson yes I would post pics but it's a forend....And for those out there if I sell it I will pay Dave. Eric
