Well I hope that with what Craigster and I gave you, what was a simple question has been answered. I'm not familiar with the .43 Spanish other than it was yet another variation of a case and load configuration that was rather popular in it's day such as the 44-77 Sharps, the Russian Berdan, the .43 Mauser and many more. The .43 Mauser is more my thing ... that is the break-open variety.
