Nick Makinson ( http://www.nickmakinson.com) send me some pictures of an LC Smith he is currently restoring. The breech face was badly pitted, the striker disks and the firing pins were damaged. Nick restored the breech face, machined new disks and firing pins. The breech after welding   The finished disc hole  Fitting the disc  The new disc  New Disk, Pin & Screw  The finished breech

Looks to be an early Syracuse L.C. Smith. Be nice to see the finished results.
Could you give me the rest of the details as to gauge, barrel length for the records. Thanks.

JDW - I will try to get the details when I visit him next. I think the gun belongs to an American customer and is a 10 gauge if I remember correctly.
Nick makes his living as a gunsmith so the amount of work he puts in depends on the $$ the customer is comfortable spending.
