Anyone use the thin (1-7/8" thick) recoil pad? Trying to find a really thin one for a 20g Garbi SxS. Any other recommendations?

Undaunted by my experience with their Ithaca pad, I've purchased several others in the meantime and they have all been good stuff.
As to the specific pad you ask about, I have the Winchester pad which is just a branded version of the "thin," which at 7/8" isn't really. Visually, however, they have a slightly thick black base that makes the red rubber part appear pretty thin. Like I say, no complaints.

Might also look at the thin (0.6") Pachmayr Old English. Done up in the regular, harder rubber, they make nice pads for a field gun.

Didn't know Pachmayr made one that thin. I'll check it out. I'm trying to avoid cutting wood, which is at just over 14". Normally I want my total LOP to be at 14". I'd use this mostly for skeet and dove/quail.

I just put one on a Fabbri O/U. I had some old 3/8" plugs from another project that allowed me to cover the screws in a traditional manor of orange pads. The pad didn't cut well for just a typical slit job as in softer pads. A Pachmayr pad is a good option.

Or would this one be better for a classic SxS (although .2 thicker)?http://www.pachmayr.com/D752B.php

Yeah, the thin 752. Maybe all they make now is the soft Deccelerator material, which is harder to work with. It seems kind of pointless on a thin pad, and I'd still investigate the possibility of getting one with the older, firmer rubber.

I have used the Galazan thin red pad for several stocks and really like them. Bobby

The solid red Galazan pad which is 1/2" thick at center and the 1 1/2" thick pads are both excellent pads, indestructible and very nice looking (see caveat below) with professional installation. They do not absorb much recoil, however, compared to the high-tech pads.
All a matter of taste of course, but sometimes the red pad looks a bit odd IMO, compared to say a thin black pad. I put one on a Merkel sxs with very dark wood, thought it detracted.
