As I remember what happened was at that time Cliff was perfecting his process for reboring double rifles and that was his first priority. Everything else got put on the back burner.

When I had Cliff La Bounty do a rebore for me about 10 years ago it took about 18 months so things are getting better.

From what I can gather, a lot depends upon just how many similar-size jobs he has waiting. Machine re-setup is time consuming and AFAIK most reborers have waited until they had enough jobs of a certain size to make the lost time economical. For instance I used to use Bob Snapp and have always been super-satisfied with the results, but if I sent him more than one size job it always took a lot longer. 3 or 4 rifles all to the same bore size took less than a year but the same 3 or 4 rifles to 2 different bore sizes always took a lot longer.
