Looks a little like an Ithaca Auto&Burglar but they were usually marked and I have never seen a shoulder holster. SO-no help.

Here is the original from the 1st model. There were a lot of after-market holsters made for the Game Getter. Pete

Usually a rig with a shoulder strap is for a foreign gun as they were rarely used here. My first thoughts was it was for a Mars pistol but I now doubt it. It certainly isn't an artillery Luger rig. It may in fact be handcrafted. Jim

If it's hand crafted it's a really nice job, looks factory to me but who knows. I'll probably never find out but I bought it cheap so the entertainment of asking around is worth something.

Destry I wasn't clear, sorry. The bottom picture is a factory holster. They had no flap. http://books.google.com/books?id=YpkXAAA...ter&f=falsePete

I consulted with a very knowledgeable friend who doesn't post here and he believes this is a holster for a commercially produced DWM Luger carbine. Price wise Luger carbines are in the stratosphere so I imagine this piece would be valuable. I expect more could be found out by posting it on this forum: http://luger.gunboards.com/Jim
