These older Berettas are hand engraved too unlike the newer Berettas which is a huge bonus IMO.

George, have you checked the underside of your forend wood? Beretta model numbers were often marked there. The OLD Silver Hawks from the 50's and 60's, which were in fact 409's with some adjustments for the American market, are usually stamped "409" in the forend wood.

Roy, if your gun is straight gripped I have it's twin sister. Mine was never shot much and feels like a very nicely made gun, fits me perfect too:)

Enjoy!

I've got my grandfather's, bought new with the proceeds of a fat wool-boom merino wool cheque - rather beaten up now. It's quite a heavy, tightly choked gun; still locks up like a vault. There must have been a few come out to SE Aust.

@Buzz - yes agreed, that is a bonus.
@Stan - Barrels from reciever to muzzle are 29.6 inches
@775 - she's not straight gripped, although she does have twin triggers.
@smlekid - my barrels read "Alloy Chromium Compressed steel
Special type titania"
@ushoot - apart from the trigger they look exactly the same.
@Cadet - this one came from Victoria as well.
