Your gun is a Sauer &Sohn export model "KIM royal" with beavertail foreend and single trigger, made by S&S in Eckernfrde, West Germany from 1953. At that time S&S had no relations to Suhl any more. They used West German barrel steel made by Bochumer Verein then, no Russian or other East Block steel or parts sources. The GDR Suhl factories were their hardest competitors then, as the commies sold Suhl made guns for hard $$ without regard to real production costs. Here is a photo of the basic KIM from the "J.P.Sauer & Sohn" book by Arfmann & Kallmeyer. Your engraving, scalloped action rear, Greener crossbolt and sideclips were premium factory upgrades to "royal" grade. As you see, the strengthening crosspin through the head of the stock is not a repair, but a standard factory feature on this model.
