As a side note to this discussion, I believe, I am not sure about all the countries, but I believe in most of the countries in Africa, a repeating shotgun, pump or autoloader, it is against the law to bring them into the country. So it would have to be a double barreled shotgun of some kind and I can't think of a better weapon to use against a charging animal then a double barrel.

And Mike where were you during that conversation we were having under Chuck's topic, "Who makes the Best shotguns" I could have used a little help there you know.

yep still alive and kicking. The .470 goes on walks with me far more often then the Brno. I run into buffalo and elephant almost daily, but so far no serious adventures. Might die in bed yet.

That has been know to happen if the husband comes home early for a few. Many more that those who have to dodge a buffalo or elephant.
