Hi all, well I've been starting at the little Clarke stock now for a day and I'm going to attempt to burn through the pain and apply another layer of finish today!
My surgeon was happy that he got all of the visible and anything he could feel lump (cancer wise) out of my lung. He had to remove the lower left lobe and a resection of the top lobe. However I have over half of the left lung still there which is a lot better than it could have been!
I'm incredibly sore and it feels like someone stabbing you in the back when I make a step to walk, but I am improving every day. My next right lung is scheduled for the 15th July. He wanted to give me a reasonable recovery time. Hopefully that one is what they called VATS procedure...less invasive where they use a camera to find the tumours and cut them out without opening up my rib cage.
My wife has been tremendous and my two children (aged 2.5 and 10) are my life blood along with my wife. Thanks also to Doug for posting my progress here and for all of you and the wonderful support. It all helps.
Cheers
Tony
