How did you determine them to be 'not pierced'?

It looks to me like they are in fact pierced, the left one having visible pin holes and the right one having the plating burned off the metal.

Look how much metal the pin is moving on an already paper thin primer cup. The metal displaces, and gets thinner from stretching. It then perforates.

Some people love Cheddite primers though.
