I know this is a total shot in the dark, but it is possible that the mate to a ww greener I have may be in canada. It may be in Ontario to be more percise? I do have the serial number of the missing number one gun in the pair. The serial number is 28874. So if anyone has this greener in there collection please pm me. Even if the gun is not for sale I would love to hear if it is that same as my number two gun.

28804 is in Maryland. Good luck with your search. Matched Pairs is a good source if the owner has put his gun in the database. Have you contacted Graham Greener?

Yes I did contact Graham N Greener. I sent pics and he was able to fill me in on my #2 gun. He was also able to inform me that the set was sold from the London establishment so he had no details about who ordered the set. He also gave me the serial number of the number one gun that was made almost 8500 firearms earlier. I don't think I will ever come across the owner of the number one gun. Thats if it still even exits, but for me the fun has been in the research...THE HUNT.

Greener serial number 28874 is listed on the Matched Pairs web site. I suggest you contact them and see if they will put you in touch with the owner.

Just be doubly (no pun intended) sure that the serial numbers for 1 and 2 are correct; often the number 2 gun of a pair was ordered and built some time later as funds permitted, and if the next consecutive number wasn't reserved then it got a much later number.
