As for Harry Pope, I had the pleasure of shooting a Winchester High Wall Schuetzen with a H.M. Pope barrel in 32-40. It had the false muzzle and all.
What a beautiful rifle!
There is a book on Pope called: THE STORY OF POPE'S BARRELS by Ray M. Smith.
It is a very interesting book.
