I am looking for information on the gunmaker James Kirk? Did they actually make/finish guns or were they just a retailer? All I find on the internet is an address in Glasgow with no apparent web site.

I'm told that Jim Kirk was in Glascow for a short period of time in 1873 during a time travel experiment on behalf of the Federation. He specialized in the manufacture of hand held phasers and photon torpedos.(smile)...Geo

Nothing mentioned in The Gun and it's Development, The Shotgun History & Development, Sidelocks and Boxlocks or Shotguns & Gunsmiths the Vintage Years. Probably retailer selling stuff of others or others made stuff with Kirk name on products just like Browning does in USA.

I believe my pheasant gun was made by him, and I can't figure out how to get the damn thing off of stun.

From 1900 to around 1980. Was a "gunmaker" in as much he commissioned gun built with his name on . I have seen a number of examples most of which were well finished guns of mid quality.
