Neat, I can smell the pipe tobacco from here. I don't smoke anymore but ever so often open up the case with Mr. Niedner's pipe in it just to get a whiff.
A couple of rifle books I like and don't see a mention of very often are,
Sporting Rifles and Rifle Shooting by Caswell 1920
The Rifle It's Development for Big Game Hunting S.R. Truesdell 1947

I don't smoke much anymore either but the pipes are still here. What type of pipe did Mr. Niedner smoke?

Nice Rob; I can see you cleaned things up for the photos, just like I did... I think I recognize a couple of titles on the top shelf in the first photo?

A fascinating collection of books gentlemen, but why don't I see any copies of the six volumes of British Single Shot Falling Block Rifles by Wal Winfer? I know some of them are now hard to find and therefore expensive, but surely some of you must have copies.

Michael, For years we had old plywood and press board (my wife calls it waswood) bookcases. When we decided to remodel the family/gun/reloading room/man cave we opted for some nicer furnishings that would allow me to do my reloading in the comfort of the house and still maintain a relatively neat appearance. She really does have unrealistic expectations of me. We do have a lot of books, most older outdoors and gun books. I am going to enjoy curling up this winter in my recliner with an old classic book and a Brittany spaniel in my lap and a nice fire in the stove. Mart

Steven, Yes, both your hardcovers and on the second shelf 2 copies of Custom Rifles lying horizontally. Harry, I have been meaning to start putting together a collection of the Winfer books but wouldn't know where to start. Which volumes are the hardest to find?

Steve the last one I needed and had about given up hope. Was Vol-4. All IMO a great set of books. I know I sure enjoy mine. Whitey

Harry, like these, my favorite. As others I have many books and they are important for reference.
