My better half has a nice set of stainless steel All-clad pots & pans in the kitchen. I put some salt in one of the sauce pans with some water I was to boil pasta in and let it sit a a boil too long... The bottome of the pan now looks like that poor Parker's action (it's not a reciever as far as I know because it receives nothing). I'm not sure if they are early Parker colors or Fox...hmmm...

Ed is the Earl Scheib of guns. He will color anything like Earl use to paint over dirt, rust or anything else for $99.95. Just like Scheib required little practical knowledge of good body repairs or proper prep for painting Ed requires no real gunsmith skills. If you ever came across a mint condition car that was painted by Earl you would see the instant similarities. Nasty and just wrong.

You are a hack who takes worn out guns or guns with no finish left on them and tries to tart them up to fool unsuspecting buyers. Shame on you and stop trying to impress people with tales of your safely restoring colors to a gun. The science does not back you up, the people in the trade, who know how to properly case color a gun do not back you and those here have figured that much out. You would be better off to not answer these post as it leaves a trail the would be buyers can access on the net.

Here is a ca. 1877 Parker with a wee bit of color.

Beautiful lines on that Parker!! Trouble is, if he would have just tightened the action up and left it at that, he could have sold it for three times that selling price. But it sold. Don't ask me why or who would have bought it.

Only a right wing jackass would feel the need to stuff his politics into this discussion.

I'm sure to some the Parker shotgun is almost like a religion.....to torch the action on one has got to be somewhat sac-religious.
