While I own a nice 32" three-inch chambered HE, there is no advantage when using it over other well made 3" twelves. There is, however, no handicap, either.

I can actually kill more ducks with less misses with my black 390, but I don't hunt ducks for a living, I do it to BE living. In a way, I feel like I owe the men who built my HE a certain amount of time hunting with it every year, and I do it gladly. The 390 is a killing machine, but it has no "soul", no history and no charm.

eightbore knows what I mean, I can tell by what he writes, and others here. The HE and I are just........... comfortable together.
