What bore diameter should I expect with an early 1908 A grade 12ga. Fox? How did they leave the factory? Was there a range or standard at .729"? Regarding barrel weights...Fox book has a chart for its barrel sizes[1,2,3,4] within gauge. Weighing a particular 12ga. 30" barrel it comes to 3# 10.2oz. on a digital scale. That weight is close to dead on for a #3 wt. barrel in the book. The book list weights are for the pre-struck barrel weight. What do you do when the barrel doesn't have a wt. stamp on it. This particular gun is before the weight system was published. Total weight on this gun is 7 # 4.8oz. Any thoughts? Just curious on the wt. question. Thanks for your reply, Randy
