#245750647 This looks to me to be an extremely high original condition crass. Its listed misspelled "Ithica". I just happened on it and don't collect or have any financial interest in it. But thought an Ithaca collector would enjoy seeing it.

That old Crass is actually a Lewis.

The serial number dates this gun at 1902 if this list is right. It must have stood in a corner for 109 years the case color looks to be almost 100% there and bright damascus finish on the barrels. Isn't it unusual for a low grade gun to be in this high condition given its age?

It happens. This 1910 Ithaca hammer gun certainly didn't spend much time in the field --

Just for fun, What do you think it will go for? I'll say $525.

The scratched up cheek on the right side behind the receiver and the dings on the right side of the splinter forearm say it got some use. Or it kept falling out of the corner. ;-) I wonder if it has been restored. At any rate if on face and no pits it is certainly worth $600 LOL

I ended up with the gun. Instead of a Crass its an Ithaca Lewis Model 1 1/2 grade. The gentleman selling says he picked it up at a show 20 years ago and that the wood, barrel and casecolor finishes are original in his opinion.
