That's why a nice Fox or Sterlingworth or Parker that has bone and charcoal CCH restoration doesn't look quite right............
Huh? All the early (pre-Remington) Parkers were bone/charcoal CCH.
As were the Sterlingworths.

Please read the Fox Book "Best Gun in The World"...it explains what the factory used.....and when..... All Fox and Sterlingworth guns were "Cyanide Case Colored" except for the first two years...........please read the book and know the facts......

factory color hardened Sterlingworth Frame, circa 1928.....look for yourself, Cyanide hardened........
Replacement:....The Parker experts can answer for Parker's Case Colors, dates and methods.......quite sure they were Cyanide colored originally.........
