Tilting the recoil pad does not change where the barrel is so long as your cheek is on the comb, where it should be. You've got to move the comb to change the drop, up OR down. The persistent myth that pitch has anything significant to do with whether the gun shoots high or low must be holdover from the days when shooters shot with their heads erect and did not cheek the comb as most of us do, now. That's why many old guns have excessive drop.......the combs were not really used then as they are now.
