I agree that starting over is the best option. Remember to measure twice, cut once....

Yeah. True. PA24. I'm getting the Evans re-stocked at the moment and I'm not running to another atm. I'll see how much shorter it is than the 1 gun (I don't think it's off by much) and either leave it or put a bit of wood on the end. Present point on re-cap taken but there are plenty of nice guns with a "wooden extension that isn't more than an inch long). T If it is only off by a little, like one inch or so, I would leave it alone....just use your slip on leather pad and forget it........no re-caps........It's not a barn gun mate............. BTW....pairs were not always 'identical' in every aspect........sometimes his and hers...... I have faith in you....... you will figure it out properly mate......... Cheers,
Doug

While Mark's work is just wonderful, I would suggest shopping for a nice piece of Turkish wood for an extension; something with very similar color and grain pattern. It's out there somewhere, just keep looking. When finished, it will be almost unnoticed. JR

It has to be done as in Best fashion.

I'm going to measure it against the one I had stocked to my dimensions if it's half an inch or maybe a tad more shorter I'm going to leave it As you say Best Grant...don't mess is probably right. T

Tony, might I suggest a leather covered pad. They are elegant and look right on a Grant.
