It is a "Flues" from around 1910. Looks to still have the original finishes by my humble take?
You lookin' to make room in the safe for her?
Does not look like you will have to worry about cracking the frame on that one!

I think it is a #3 NID. Some didnt have the cocking indicators.

Its a 1911 Flues grade 3, I checked with Walt Snyder. It is a very nice gun but the chambers measure 3 1/2" according to the seller.

that is some beautiful engraving and color. I need to find a good ithaca. Did the NID's get engraving like that?

Along about 1915 Ithaca changed their engraving styles to the bolder style chisling just like Fox and L.C. Smith did a year or two earlier. The bold McGraw style carrie on into the NIDs.

Lovely gun.
I suspect that its a re-case.
The wood finish seems grainy and worn, in comparison with the absolutely beautiful and 100% intact case. Plus, I am sure that it didnt leave the factory with 3-1/2"chambers. Maybe the guy who is saying that is wrong, it the forcing cones have merely been lengthened?
One can always hope.
