I have recently acquired an 1893 vintage "New Baker" in 10 gauge. The trigger plate action is unique and exhibited absolutely no indications of wear. The barrels show 90% plus twist pattern with traces of case colors and blue on the receiver and trigger plate. It is a robust gun that should serve me well for many seasons. As the entry-level Baker, it is not as nicely finished as their top-end models, but it is still well made. Cheers!
