I collect old firecracker packs and have seen these go for several hundred also. But the next one goes for half of that. Rarity is king among collectors.

The auction has not had a bid yet. Looks a lot like gun sellers who list with real high prices hoping to get a fish. Be interesting to see what it goes for and if any others have been sold recently.

Hmmm ... a good time to beware of fakes. THIS exact over-label is out there, in excellent condition, and available for high-quality copying. I know because I have a good color slide of it, which I made.

If the box of 12b shells Loaded For Fred Gilbert to kill Pigeons with back in the 'Golden Age of Trap Shooting' is valued at$5000-$10000. I wonder what the Parker.Bros. BH 12b that was the 'Feature Gun' in Fender/Trevallion artical, Shooting Sportsman, Jan-Feb.07'could possibly be valued at? (What about the 'Old woolen sock that I pulled out of the bottom of the Leg o Mutton Gun-Case,I think it had "F.G."on it') Any Bids??? C/C

Where is the "box", David? It's the box, not the contents.
