The Sedgley and many other prewar US sporters used the larger snap swivels that were also used on the earlier Winchester Super Grade rifles. The modern smaller-size Michaels, Recknagel and others are miniatures of the original SG style.

The early SG swivel is the one in the middle while the later Michaels type is one the viewer's right. The left-side one is a military model that can be used on the SG-size swivel bases. Most of the other artifacts shown are bench-made items.
