I ordered PIF 10/10/05 and got the gun in mid January. #418 Worth the wait, IMHO. - Bill

Bill9430, Yours is the highest # I've seen yet. What's your configuration and upgrades?

Can you post pictures,I like seeing the different guns.

Standard wood, CCH, DT, SG, SF, 14 3/4"Pull. Even though I did not upgrade wood, I asked for American black walnut and 6 lb 0 oz, if possible. That's exactly what I got! A big thanks to all the folks on the board who posted about the RBL in Sept of '05. I made this purchase based on your comments! I'm very happy with the fit and finish of the gun. It swings like a wand. I can hardly wait till the weather warms up a bit so I can pattern it and try it out on clays. I think the doves will be in trouble next fall! Very sorry I can't post pictures. - Bill

My order was PIF 11/28/05 and is currently in production. I was told that it takes between 4 to 8 weeks. I expect a March delivery.

I have been shooting my RBL #278 on skeet lately and can tell you it has functioned perfectly and seems to shoot where it's pointed. It does have that "balance" that is so hard to describe but so quickly noticed. The easy opener is cute but it'll be taken off for the real stuff. I have the long stock and it's going to head to the gunsmith next week to be shortened to 14 1/2"--that's about the only change I plan to make. Currently it's right at 14 7/8".

Joe, Tell your gunsmith to be careful if your's has the high gloss finish. There is an RBL posted that masking tape peeled the finish off. I'd tell the smith to use the blue stuff if he needs to use tape!

Nice to see a November gun in production, it took over three months for mine after I was told it was in production.

The wait was worth it in the long run, Hang in there!
