October 26 and it finally arrived today. I think I could run to Wisconsin and back faster than Canada Post delivers.

STRIKE UP THE BAND!!! - Postes Canada Post must have extracted their thumb, greased up the hubs on the buckboard or fed the huskies. I actually FINALLY received my autumn issue of Double Gun Journal today.

I'm still waiting. Heard something about the postman's mule fell in a well. Maybe it'll come before y'alls next issue arrives. Y'all boys in Cannady don't know what it's like living in the REAL sticks! laugh

Tony, maybe I'll like this issue better, then. Hopefully more on American classics. Although I do always enjoy Sherman Bell's pieces on English guns.

Well Stan, maybe Billy-Joe McAllister in his Federal postman suit, rode his mule offen the Tallahatchee Bridge.
Some of us living up here north of The Medicine Line are more than passing familiar with "the REAL sticks". Up back of Ompah and Snow Road Station (y'all hear dem banjos way off?) they gotta pump air to the mosquitos.
Hope you get your DGJ soon - this issue is another decent read.

I thought Kansas was the real sticks! I've had mine a while now.

Stan, I'd be checking over in Union Point.

Rumor has it that Esquire Brooks pilfered your copy and has it stashed in his outhouse.

Ian, Ompah and Snow Road Station are all gone "modern" nowadays, ....should have seen that area 50 years ago!! Remember the Saturday night dances at Ompah, ...lots of stories of some of the residents!! As backwoods then as was the "Pinery" in Montague.
