BIRDSHOOTER Sidelock Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 91 N CENTRAL PA.	even on the older hatfields the wood to metal fit was not good, also the checkering tended to be a little fuzzy. i know maple doesn't checker like walnut but i've owned a few guns with maple and all had nicer checkering than the hatfields. jeff N Central PA NRA Endowment
