Purchased a NOS Model 37 16 gauge with 'Ultra Wood' from them. Initial problems with wood and wood finish, metal no problems. Replaced wood and pictured here side by side with my 1939 16 gauge original condition Model 37. Craig Marshall and everyone at Ithaca bent over to meet my expectations. -Dick

WOW, what nice looking wood! Is the fit and function of everything else up to the standards you expected?

Dick: Is the stock real wood or something like Beretta uses on some of their guns? Best, John

If your gun is a 16ga., I assume that it is made using King Ferry, NY parts. Your gun has fabulous wood which begs the question: How much? I had one of my three Ithaca 16ga. guns restocked last year and spent around $700 in the process. All of these guns were made in King Ferry and, even though I own much more expensive guns, these see plenty of use in the field and with clay targets...love 'em.

WOW, what nice looking wood! Is the fit and function of everything else up to the standards you expected? Fit and function are to my standards. John Mann, I don't purchase anything but nice wood, it is real. By NOS (New OLD Stock) it was put together from parts from the preceding company and was made with a 16 gauge 26" with choke tubes to my specs. The 1939 Model 37 is 28" Full and I just haven't been able to find a matching 26" IC barrel. I also believe in purchasing American and helping a new company and old name stay in business. Price was $940 + shipping.

Oh yes! Supporting one of the last "name" American gun companies was a priority for me. Having them be so gracious was certainly a bonus.

Your new Ithaca is really nice looking. Incidentally, I paid more for a Supreme grade 16ga. and the wood isn't nearly as nice as yours. I bought one of the first 400 guns (special ser. no.) in 1999. The wood was so plain I asked them to make it into a Supreme grade with an English stock and small checkered forend. It may be the only gun of its type...who knows? One thing is certain, you got a gun that is well worth the money.
