Unless the hunter is decrepit or disabled, I don't like the use of turkey decoys for hunting Gobblers. I have a buddy who couldn't hear a gunshot five feet away. He has no choice but to use decoys because he can't hear a gobble. For those with no disability, the proliferation of the use of turkey decoys has taken a lot of the sport out of turkey hunting. Sitting and waiting for a shot over decoys from a blind has replaced woodsmanship and calling. While not unethical or illegal, the use of decoys has delayed development of turkey hunting skills in those entering the sport besides being a PIA to carry and pretty much eliminates running and gunning for gobblers.
