Your gun was made by W.&C.Scott,Birmingham using the Purdey patent action. The 3019 # could well be a patent use number[ie: denotes patent use and royalty paid].
The castle mark is W.&C.Scott,s trade mark.It was applied to guns of their manufacture.
13 is the bore size of the barrel so marked at time of proof.[The gun is however a 12 gauge and will be chambered accordingly]
The gun was high grade gun and may well justify restoration.

Only one small obstacle in it's way....it's finished value won't cover the cost of restoration.

The gun came from the OP's great-great grandfather.

Its "finished value" is not calculated in dollars.

He asked about value....the value the gun shows today tells me it wasn't treated as something of any value in it's day.

Even in its down-at-the-heels condition, it can still be a lot more than a gun with a price tag; can be a key to unlocking a door to knowledge of the engineering, fabrication techniques, and decorative arts of the past. The door is in your mind. Up to you what you do with the key. As half down on an iphone, it would be throwing away a birthright. JMO.

Thank you everyone for the replies! I am amazed by y'alls knowledge and appreciate any and all the information you have given me. I am trying to find out about the initials, but I'm think KC is not someone from my family since the last name I would think would be Bradford. ( so maybe the original owner sold it to my great great grandfather?)I will try to get a answer about KC for sure from y
Grandfather tho. Thanks again!
