I shoot several hundred crows a year in Texas pecan orchards. Early season it is 1 oz. 7's imp.cyl. over stuffed crows for decoys in the orchard; like shooting ducks in timber. Late season it is 1 1/8 oz. 5 or 6's with bare trees and a big bore barrel(10 ga.)/full choke on a 12 ga. 870 Rem. I haven't had one hop off in years. I frequently find ones dead out a ways that I thought I had missed. Bigger shot than 7.5's is the ONLY way to go.

YMMV.
