When I was in high school in the '60s we shot wood duck roosts. A sorry and illegal method of hunting a fine game bird. Shots were close and cripples were not to be found in the dark, so we went to 'high brass' 9s and the 'dishrag' effect went way up. Not proud of having participated in the roost shooting, but on the subject of the lethality of 9 shot, that's my experience...Geo
