Reminds me of the group of Americans headed by Cyril Adams and Robert Braden who came over in the early 1980's and shot 1009 driven grouse in 3-days time at Eggleston Moor in County Durham. Unheard of good shooting and not thought possible of Americans by our British elite. Reckoned to be one of the six remarkable scores of the century by G.L. Carlisle in his book "Grouse and Gun".

Not to hijack the thread, but I happen to be having breakfast across from one of the guys that shot as part of that epic 1009 grouse shoot. I've even included a snapshot of the writeup in Shooting Times. I hope he shoots as well on American grouse today. smirk
