It is not just the fore end which has been screwed up. Note the vent rib addition. I looked at that gun long ago and tried to figure out what cold be done to undo the Americanization of it. Not that hard to redo the fore end back to a splinter. But that vent rib was a major stopper. How hard to get it off and restore whats is under it? Afraid that one is past restoration.


I had the same thoughts but the rib was always the stopper. Who knows how salvageable what's beneath it is?
