Anybody that is anybody in Cabela's, on their shirt there will be an emroidered name on it, this is the specialist in charge of that department. There might even be two. The other people are just hired off the street, some know a lot and some know very little, but they teach them. The regular employees wear a plastic name tag with their name on it.
So if you want any decent service, try to see the person with the embroidered name, he or she will give you the best service, and not be discourteous to you, plus they are the ones who will usually discount the gun. They won't do it off the top of their heads, but they will look it up in the computer and see what they bought it for and if any money was spent on it. Most guns they will discount some. And finally as someone stated, don't bring your gun for a trade, unless you don't care about it's value.

Thank you for the advice. They will be opening their 1st Illinois store later this year. It will be just a few minutes drive from where I work. So I can see spending some lunch hours at their gun library. I will keep this in mind.
