Your new Ithaca is really nice looking. Incidentally, I paid more for a Supreme grade 16ga. and the wood isn't nearly as nice as yours.
I bought one of the first 400 guns (special ser. no.) in 1999. The wood was so plain I asked them to make it into a Supreme grade with an English stock and small checkered forend. It may be the only gun of its type...who knows?
One thing is certain, you got a gun that is well worth the money.
