Serious collectors will pay top prices for unbutchered guns.....amazing how much a minty box and papers increases the value of an old gun.....but they are always opened and handled......I watched a mint 1873 BOXED Winchester go for huge dollars......

If the gun is factory mint and pre WWII, serious collectors at the big shows will buy it fast.......

I don't see how the gun posted on gunsinternational was purchased originally without the original seller or buyer opening the box to inspect the gun.....that part seems a little fishy to me, even in the 30's and 40's when people were more honest.....?.....


Most of the top sellers in GI are listed as being a "platinum seller" but this one is NOT rated. That raises a "red flag" here- do the Godfather routine as with Tommy Dorsey- Put $4K on the table and a gun to his head- have him open the box for you- if it is the real deal-A-OK, but it not (and that M62 better be a clean as a Nun's wimpole on Friday) then- Bada Bing- Bada Boom--
